Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie and Jacob Elordi are all returning to reprise their roles in the popular high school drama.

The new season will take place five years on from the last season’s events, with the trailer revealing Rue (Zendaya) to be dealing with perilous drug dealers.

Meanwhile, Cassie (Sweeney) is married to Nate (Elordi) while making content for OnlyFans. Jules (Schafer) is shown navigating the dynamics of becoming a sugar baby, while Maddy (Demie) works at a strip club.

The official logline describes the new season as such: “A group of childhood friends wrestle with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil.” Take a look at Euphoria‘s Season 3 trailer below:

Alongside its main players, Euphoria will return with new cast including Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Eli Roth, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Natasha Lyonne, Rebecca Pidgeon, Sam Trammell, Trisha Paytas and Danielle Deadwyler.

Spanish popstar Rosalía will also make her acting debut in the upcoming season.

NME gave Euphoria‘s second season a five-star review, writing: “Euphoria season two might have taken a long time to arrive but, with a clutch of new episodes that are darker, tougher and more intense than ever, it’s well worth the wait. Its teen subjects might start the new year off on a negative note, but it’s already setting the bar very high for TV in 2022.”

Elsewhere, Sydney Sweeney has teased that Euphoria‘s ending has her “terrified”.
